Creating Transitional Flag/Badge

Now the Transitional Flag/Badge has to be created. The transitonal Flag/Badge is the Flag/Badge that appears at the beginning of each game. Shown here, my canada flag/banner will go where the white box is.

Now the Transitional Flag/Badge is stored in the zdata_xx.big files in the Fifa 2005\data directory.

This time I'm going to export a Transitional Flag/Badge using BigRaptor. But you can use BigGui also to export it. So I open BigRaptor.

Now I click on "zdata viewer".

Then I choose to go to zdata_03.big. But you can find transitional flags/badges in many different zdata_xx.bigs.

Now I'm going to look for files with the name "transitiontexobj.texobj85302734375__texture52777099609375__xxxx.fsh" Then I export it to desktop.

Now I can use the exact same procedure I used for the menu flags/badges. I already explained that. So I'm not going to repeat is. So Import my flag/badge to the .fsh file using FshEd.

And now I can change the file name from 1035 to 1340.

I'm going to import this file to zdata_12.big. I'm just doing that so my file will go between the numbers 1339 and 1356. I don't know if that matters or not. So I open BigGui and import my file. Now, I haven't become an expert on which zdata_xx.big to import the file into. I just look to the zdata that has the file teamid that is closest. I have had some problems when I have added more than two teams. But I've been using 2gk kits, so that may be the culprit. So you may need to experiment a little in this area to figure it out. I will update the tutorial when I get further experience.

So now I see my file in the zdata_12.big. But notice that it isn't compressed in the column "Packed" So I'm going to pack it. I select the file and compress it.

Now the graphic is almost ready to see in the game. In order for the game to know that you have to run fatbhbuilder.exe.

Click "Build".

Now everytime you add files to the zdata_xx.big files, you need to run this program. It rebuilds the fifa.fat file and all the zdata .bh files. This need to be done so the game knows that the file is there.

So lets check this out in the game.

All finished with that one!
